After this course the Appointed Person will be able to:

  • Understand the duties of an appointed person in the workplace.
  • Organise professional help for injured and ill casualties.
  • Contribute towards the employers Health and Safety responsibilities.
  • Provide Basic Life Support

Course Outline

This course is designed to prepare employees for dealing with a first aid emergency and can form part of the workplace safety preparations as suggested in the Health and Safety (First Aid at Work) Regulations 1981. The course is highly practical and includes topics relevant to the candidates own working environment it provides and introduction to the First Aid at Work system and guides candidates in how to prepare for medical emergency. This training is not as substantial or in depth as the First Aid at Work course.

The course is validated with a three year certificate. This course can be run as a one day syllabus. CRT medical can run this course around the clock and at weekends to cater for shift workers.
