Courses designed to teach practical First Aid knowledge to people who are involved in working and playing in the outdoors.
This
course takes place over two days at our training centre in Mid Wales.
It covers:
Three year certificate.
The
advanced course is available to former students of the UKMFAC
course. Held twice per year this course is designed to build upon the
basics, with further training and information on the treatment of
Airway Management, Suction, Shock, Longer Term Patient Care, Casualty
Handling and so on. This course is challenging and assessment must be
passed upon completion. The course is held at our training centre in
Mid Wales with food and accommodation included. Again this course
relies heavily on practical training, most of which is done on the
hill. Students will be required to bring warm/waterproof clothing, a
head torch and sturdy footwear.
Two year certificate.
A
new course for 2007. This two day training package is designed to
prepare you for foreign travel. Ideal for Gap Year and extended
vacations this course covers Basic First Aid, Personal Security,
Communications, Local Custom Awareness, Equipment selection and
Security, Planning Strategies, Health and Hygiene, Basic STI
Information and Dealing with Emergencies.
