"Problems are not the problem; coping is the
problem" - Virginia Satir

This course has been available for many years and is directed
at preparing employees to react efficiently to an emergency in the
workplace. An Appointed Person is responsible for
informing the emergency services and keeping the first aid equipment in
stock and available. They also know how to record a workplace accident
in line with HSE policies.
While the Appointed Person is not considered a 'First Aider' within the
workplace this course does include training in Basic Life Support so
that the employee can provide basic lifesaving skills whilst awaiting
EFAW or FAW trained staff or the emergency services.
The course takes place during one day with approximately 6 hours of
training and the participants will receive an Appointed Person
certificate which remains valid for three years. Training is practical
in nature and all of our course include refreshments but lunch is
available on certain course only - please check with us.
