Further
Information |
This course takes place
over four or more hours and is designed
to teach the participants how to provide basic life support and use an
Automated External Defibrillator which can be used to shock a
malfunctioning heart back into a normal rhythm.
Fast, accessible defibrillation is a key component of treating severely
ill casualties and is now possible in a wide number of venues before the
ambulance arrives due to the development of automated machines which are
affordable, safe and can be used with minimal training.
The training includes CPR, a vital component of life saving first aid
and will ensure the participant can competently maintain and use an AED
and provides an understanding of how these machines work and why the
heart sometimes requires electrical input.
This course can be
taught at your site and
will be relevant to your
AED unit.
