This course is new from October 2009 and is accredited by the
HSE. The primary difference between this course and the traditional
Appointed Person is that with this qualification a staff member is
considered a first aider within the workplace. In order for an employer
to decide whether his staff require an EFAW or a three day FAW
qualification they must consider their staff numbers and risks
according to their working environment - the HSE have some guidelines
which can be seen here.
The training takes place over a full day which affords more
time for the participants to practice their skills and develop their
confidence. The lessons are highly practical and suitable for absolute
beginners. There is no formal testing for this course as the
qualification is provided to participants who have demonstrated their
participation and competence to the instructor. All of our course
include refreshments but lunch is available on certain course only -
please check with us.
This
course is held regularly for individuals to take part around the UK -

This course is also available for group bookings so organisations can
train number of staff with minimum fuss - we can train at your venue or
