From October 2009 this course takes place over
three days, although it is possible for organisations to hold a number
of shorter training sessions to fit in with their staffing if necessary.
This course will provide all the knowledge, skill
and confidence for the participants to be listed as first aiders within
the workplace. It is designed with no requirement for previous
experience as the training will introduce everything that you need to
know.
The course is jargon free and highly practical in nature providing lots
of opportunity to improve your ability in a realistic manner that
relates to your actual working environment. The course is comprehensive
and accredited by the HSE, in order to achieve the award each candidate
must attend the full programme and pass a practical test conducted by an
HSE assessor. The certificate will remain valid for three years and can be extended
for a further three years by a
two day refresher course.
