"Have you ever noticed that anybody
driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is
a maniac"
- George Carlin
There are over 30 million drivers registered in the UK - how many of
them would you trust to care for someone in an accident?
Suitable
for motorcyclists and car drivers alike this course is designed to
provide skills specifically for road users who may become involved in, or witness
a collision. It will help prepare you for the safety concerns of
roadside first aid, common injuries sustained at the scene and help to
build self confidence.
This course is highly practical in nature and will enable participants
to practice their skills in and around various types of vehicle. The
emphasis is on interaction and providing basic life support, reassurance
and a safe immediate response to roadside emergencies. In addition to
first aid the course will also include elements of roadside safety,
contacting the emergency services and vehicle first aid kits.
The training will also deal with travel specific issues such as: dealing
with helmets and biker clothing and trapped casualties.
