The best way to learn - when it’s more than a squirt of ketchup…
When simulation is planned and executed well it provides an adrenaline buzz, instills a little panic and specifically encompasses the educational aims. Whether you want a large, multiple casualty event or a small one to one challenge our talented team have the props, make up and skill to put you amongst the action.
The majority of our courses incoprporate some form of simulation because it is fun, rewarding and a fantastic way to iron out those little hiccups when lives aren’t really at risk. It is particularly beneficial as our team will walk your staff through each scene after they’ve sprung into action – they will praise good ideas and gently nudge where necessary to ensure maximum learning and confidence. If their first effort is a shambles it doesn’t matter – they can always do it again!
Our team regularly hold simulation events for workplaces, on thier site as a means of refreshing the skills of their first aiders – in as little as a couple of hours, those with a first aid certificate will have developed their skill infinitely, and its great fun.
This kind of event also emphasises and improves teamwork and clear communication - essential skills for every team.
The best results come from understanding your needs and keeping things as true to life as possible. We have a fantastic make up artist and our team will plan everything to the last detail – down to swapping your actual first aid kit with our own materials so nothing gets used unnecessarily. We consider how many casualties to include, how far apart they’ll be placed as well as the injuries and illness they will realistically mimic. We have props for all environments including bikes, cars and more – you can even cut the clothes of our actors as you would for real!
