"Great course,
fantastic weekend - absolutely loved it" - Course Participant
This course has been purposefully designed by the CRT training team and
has successfully taught people from rescue organisations, national care
workers, teachers and of course outdoor instructors and enthusiasts.
The course is accepted by a huge range of outdoor sports National
Governing Bodies as sufficient first aid training for their instructor
award schemes including - ML, SPA, BCU, WCA, RYA, SMBLT and offers a
three year certificate.
The course is residential, taught over two days and includes realistic
scenarios - the majority of the training takes place on the hill in all
weathers to build your experience and confidence.
Students are encouraged to ask questions as they are coached through the
syllabus.
This is an intensive training course in a relaxed atmosphere that emphasises simple
actions, relevant skills and massive participation. Its fun, challenging
and a real eye opener.

options for training and exercising in forestry, at crags, in
rivers and lakes or on some seriously exposed hillside - and all
within minutes of your breakfast! And the views are incredible -
Detailed directions are included in the Joining
Instructions and we can usually arrange lifts from the local
train station upon request.
All of our the venues include:
- Indoor and outdoor training areas
- Small, comfortable bunkrooms
- Male and Female toilets/showers
- Onsite kitchen facilities were fresh food is prepared from scratch
- A friendly, relaxed atmosphere
