Further
Information |
This course has been purposefully designed
for those who spend time further away from help or who work as
instructors or rescuers and
has successfully been taught to people from search and rescue teams,
military pilots and outdoor instructors. The course is challenging and
provides you with the time to really get to grips with your new skills
with extended casualty scenarios and a greater opportunity to learn
about minor injuries, longer term monitoring and casualty management.
This course still emphasises the basics and does not involve fancy
medical equipment or invasive treatment - it just makes you better.
The course is accepted by a huge range of outdoor sports National
Governing Bodies as sufficient first aid training for their instructor
award schemes including - ML, SPA, BCU, WCA, RYA, SMBLT and offers a
three year certificate.
The course is residential, taught over three days and includes many realistic
scenarios - the majority of the training takes place on the hill in all
weathers both during the day and at night to build your experience and confidence.
Students are encouraged to ask questions as they are coached through the
syllabus.
This is an intensive training course in a relaxed atmosphere that emphasises simple
actions, relevant skills and massive participation. Its fun, challenging
and a real eye opener.
This course can also include the
HSE First Aid
at Work certificate, contact our team for more information. |
